Journalist from Georgia Galina PETRIASHVILI, currently working as a Journalist in Georgia, is an expert on Gender and Media.He is also active as the Gender Media Caucasus Journalists’ Association President, as an international media expert for the Central Asia Regional Migration Programme (CARMP) jointly implemented by UN Women, IOM and World Bank. The programme envisages interventions in four countries – Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan as countries of origin, and Russia, Kazakhstan as countries of destination for migrant workers. The goal of the programme is to contribute to poverty reduction in Central Asia through improving livelihoods of migrant men and women. The purpose of the program is to protect the rights and enhance the social and economic opportunities of migrants and their families.
